Andrej Karpathy launches HackerTube, a Hacker News video feed

Original: HackerTube: YouTube built from videos recommended by HN

Andrej Karpathy has built HackerTube, a YouTube-style site assembled from videos that Hacker News commenters recommend. The project curates tech and science talks surfaced by the community rather than an algorithm, and it is drawing wide attention among developers who see it as a refreshingly human-curated alternative to recommendation feeds.

Why now: Karpathy's name and the idea of an algorithm-free, community-curated video feed appeal strongly to the tech community right now
