Reddit restricts old.reddit.com access for inactive users
Original: Reddit is putting more limits on old.reddit.com
Reddit is tightening access to old.reddit.com, the site's legacy desktop interface that many long-time users prefer over the modern redesign. According to an Ars Technica report, Reddit will block the old interface for people who have not used it in the past six months, effectively pushing them onto the current design. The move has drawn criticism from users who rely on the lighter, simpler layout for accessibility and low-bandwidth browsing.
Why now: Reddit's changes to the beloved legacy interface have reignited long-running frustration with the company's forced migration to its redesigned site.
