A member of a Czech ICT union has shared a personal account of how they became a unionist, recommending the 1976 documentary Harlan County, USA. The film, which chronicles a bitter Kentucky miners' strike, is presented as an argument for joining a union and for existing members to stay engaged in the labour movement.
Why now: The personal story and documentary recommendation resonate with renewed interest in union organising among tech workers.
