A member of the Czech ICT union account shared a personal film recommendation, pointing followers to the 1976 documentary Harlan County, USA, which chronicles a bitter Kentucky miners' strike. The account frames the film as an answer to the question of how someone becomes a unionist, and as encouragement for those weighing whether to join a union or stay engaged in one.
Why now: The union is using the classic labor documentary to promote union membership and engagement among Czech tech workers.
