ICC delays World Club Championship after Big Three objection

Original: ICC delays plans for World Club Championship after ‘Big Three’ object

The International Cricket Council has postponed plans for a proposed World Club Championship after opposition from cricket's 'Big Three' nations — India, Australia and England. The delay signals the powerful member boards' resistance to the project, leaving the tournament's future uncertain and raising fresh questions about governance and influence within the sport's global administration.

Why now: Ongoing debate over the influence of cricket's wealthiest boards on ICC decision-making has kept the story in the news.
