Musk says he will give a SpaceX share to every American child
Original: I will give one of my SpaceX shares to every kid in America
Elon Musk says he will give one share of SpaceX to every child in America. The statement, made on his own account, has drawn attention and skepticism, since SpaceX is privately held and there is no detail on how such a giveaway would be structured, funded, or legally carried out.
Why now: An eye-catching pledge from one of the world's most prominent billionaires, with no practical details, invites debate about whether it is serious or rhetorical.
