Elon Musk says he will give a SpaceX share to every American child
Original: I will give one of my SpaceX shares to every kid in America
Elon Musk said he will give one share of SpaceX to every child in America. The pledge, made in a brief statement, has drawn attention because SpaceX is a private company, raising questions about how such a giveaway could practically work and how many shares would be involved. Reaction so far has mixed skepticism about feasibility with curiosity about whether it is serious.
Why now: A billionaire's eye-catching pledge to hand out shares of his private space company to millions of children naturally invites skepticism and debate.
