Original: Pete Hegseth appoints Elon Musk to US taskforce on future of warfare
US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth has appointed Elon Musk to a taskforce charged with shaping the future of American warfare. Commenters are weighing the implications of giving a major defence supplier direct influence over military strategy and procurement priorities.
Why now: People are reacting to an unusually close mixing of private tech business interests and US defence policymaking.
